| DePuy Orthopaedics is the manufacturer of two of the world’s leading hip implants, the ASR Acetabular System and the ASR Hip Resurfacing System. Their fame, however, was short-lived. Last August 2010, the world was shocked when DePuy issued a recall on all their implants. Apparently, 93,000 Americans suffered such tremendous hip pain, difficulty in moving, dizziness and cobalt toxicity. What makes the whole issue so saddening is that DePuy is paying a number of physicians to act as their consultants, so that they can ‘convince’ you to drop the charges that you have filed. Perhaps you ought to go to another doctor, and get a second medical opinion. Consulting another physician would not hurt, especially if this concerns your health with critical legal implications. |
